The Orange County Chapter of the International Coach Federation is comprised of personal, business and corporate coaches. Our members meet the second Thursday of each month to network, to learn, and to participate in an inspiring, action-oriented community of professionals. Meetings are open to professional coaches as well as others seeking information about coaching.

Emily is co-founder and owner of an Information Technology Consulting company that has been in business for over ten years. The company was featured in the Small Business Administration publication of the USC Upstarts-News as a Rising Star in 2003. Emily is also a Managing Partner and serves on the Board of Directors of Onyx Global HR LLC a full-service human resources consulting firm. Emily has over 20 years of corporate, Information Technology, consulting and management experience working with Fortune 500 companies. Emily has over 16 years of experience coaching executive to entry-level clients with career challenges and aspirations. 

Emily received her Career Transition Coach certification from Chapman University. Emily was trained and certified by the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (iPEC Coaching), which is accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) and one of the world's foremost accredited coaching institutions. Emily is the host of “Career Quest”, a talk radio show that explores career transition topics. The talk radio show broadcasts on KUCI, 88.9 FM, Irvine, (www.kuci.org/talk). After over 18 years of business leadership experience as both an entrepreneur and a corporate executive he founded BlueRock Coaching & Consulting to focus on what he feels is the true key to an organization’s success: its people.

Mike has worked in a variety of industries (including printing, health care, petro chemical, and more), heading up sales, marketing, business and product development, and operations departments. He has lead and inspired many teams to reach and exceed their goals. Now BlueRock’s clients are reaping the benefits of Mike’s experience, as the firm provides the coaching, training, and consulting services they need to gain a competitive edge in today’s marketplace.

Mike received his coach training from Coach U. He is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) chapter in Orange County, California, where he serves on the board of directors. Mike is also a chapter President of Le Tip International and an active board member of his local Chamber of Commerce.

Lois Carson

Lois CarsonLois has recently formed her own coaching and consulting business after over 30 years of working in the corporate world. During the last three years, she coached corporate clients, in addition to, her work as a Product Developer for a major restaurant company. Her current focus is transition coaching – helping people who are preparing for, or experiencing, transitions in life, career and business. Additionally, she does some consulting in the food industry. Lois believes with a positive attitude and focus, you can attract great things in your life!

Lois is an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and a graduate of Coach U. She is currently serving ICF Orange County as Secretary and a member of the ICF OC 2009 Coach Week committee.

Beverly SimmonsAs a professional life coach, Beverly works with people who are on a path of discovery, helping them to awaken and ignite their passion and purpose. Trained in the Fulfillment Coaching Model, her intention is to help her clients uncover the truths that are already within them and offer support and guidance as they choose the actions to bring these truths into being.

Beverly is excited and honored to serve as co-Director of Operations for this magnificent gathering of professional coaches. Candice BrokenshireCandice is a Certified Coach having trained at both The Coaches Training Institute and The Center for Right Relationship and is certified as a Stress Management Consultant through the American Institute of Healthcare Professionals. Candice coaches individuals and relationships around the three simple elements of living a fulfilling life a. to be authentic, b. to know where we are headed and c. to nourish ourselves everyday, whether that is remembering to laugh, hug someone, have the time and space to be creative, workout or eat comfort food!

Prior to founding Red Barn Coaching Candice served on the U.S board of directors for an international branding and experiential design consultancy; leading global teams on both culture change and consumer experience programs for companies such as Ford Motor Company, Diageo and Johnson and Johnson. Today she also continues to work with businesses on their values; identifying these differentiating filters and then collaborating on how they inform the identity, tone of voice, culture, policies and operations of the company.

Candice obtained her Bsc. Honors Psychology degree in Great Britain and is proud to be a California State Certified Advocate for those affected by domestic violence.

Ank teaches coaching in the Masters in Organizational Leadership Program at Chapman University College in Irvine.

Ank’s areas of specialization are: Organizational Change, Organizational Communication, Leadership and Management Development and Team Development. She worked internationally for small, medium and large organizations in different industries.

Ank studied coaching and got her training at Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, CA.

Prior to her move from the Netherlands to the US and founding InsideOut Enterprise, Ank worked as a senior consultant for one of the top five Dutch based consultancy firms and she held a variety of positions at ABN AMRO Bank, one of the largest banks in Europe with more than 100.000 + employees worldwide. 

Ank holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University in Irvine, CA and a Master’s degree in Law of the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. Ank also obtained a graduate certificate in Organization Development and a certificate as communication consultant.

Nahid CasazzaNahid is founder of Aspyrre Professional Coaching Services.   She works with business leaders in two key areas:  (1) to navigate professional transitions, and (2) to master personal awareness and interpersonal skills so they can powerfully influence the organizational environment. 

Nahid has a Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University.  In addition she has three years of post graduate training specifically in coaching, from CoachU, an International Coach Federation fully accredited coach training program.   Prior to starting her business in 2001, she spent fifteen years in the high tech arena, where she was inspired by entrepreneurial leaders who provided employees the freedom to grow and develop their natural talents.

Doug Gfeller

Immediate Past President 2008

Doug GfellerDoug is an experienced executive who has spent the last Fourteen years running a successful consulting/coaching practice and prior to that sixteen years as President of his own residential and commercial development company with annual sales of Fifty Million Dollars.

 

In 1994 Doug acquired the first Renaissance Executive Forums franchise and shortly after became a Master Certified Coach. REF is an organization for CEO’s and Business Owners who meet monthly to work on common management problems and strategic planning issues. In addition to acting as facilitator and trainer for the monthly meetings, Doug provides executive coaching to individual members on a one-on-one basis. Doug has coached more than sixty CEO’s and Presidents along with many of their key personnel on issues ranging from strategic planning, management transition, sale of the business, start-up of new operations and hiring and training of key personnel. His clients include manufacturing, service and sales companies and range in size from start-ups to mid sized companies. He has served on their management teams and held interim executive positions.

 

Doug currently serves on the Board of Directors and the Compensation Committee of Storm Industries, Inc. Storm manufactures and distributes worldwide, irrigation values and diesel engine parts. They are also active in commercial, industrial and residential development in Southern California. Doug is President of the Orange County Chapter of the International Coach Federation, has served on the Executive Committee of the Orange County Chapter of the Professional Coaches and Mentors Association and is a frequent guest speaker for many business and community organizations. His past activities in the building industry as President of the HomeBuilders Council and as a Director of the National Building Industry Association provided him with many speaking opportunities both locally and nationally, in addition to teaching classes at UCI. Doug has also served on the Board of Directors of the Newport Harbor Art Museum and the Assessment Treatment Service Center, a youth diversion program.

 

Doug was founder and President of Gfeller Development Company, a residential and commercial development company from 1977 to 1993. Specializing in in-fill sites, GDC constructed over 1,000 homes in Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties in the medium to luxury price range.

 

Doug was a member of the senior management team of The Irvine Company from 1970 to 1977. As the Vice President of all residential development, he managed from 100 to 200 people and developed a multiple disciplined team of experts who oversaw the construction and design of all infrastructure and community amenities, obtained approvals from public agencies, and negotiated the sale of all residential land to merchant builders.
